Development of Repellent Products Based on Plant Extracts as a Preventive Measure to Diseases Transmitted by the <i>Aedes aegypti</i> Mosquito

The aim of this research is to develop a variety repellent products for personal use, made from extracts natural plants the southern region State Mexico as strategy reduce figures diseases transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquito (dengue, chikungunia and zica). result collaborative work Academic Group UTSEM-CA-1. used were Ricinnus comunis, Artemisia ludoviciana, Cymbopogum citratus, Cucurbita maxima, Coffea arabica Syzygium aromaticum. After conditioning these plants, obtained using organic solvents, different mixtures with formulated their efficacy was tested in vitro laboratory tests skin tolerance tests, measuring repellency in period time one hour five hours. Five use obtained: patch, two spray application, liquid hand soap an environmental incense. These products, proved repel mosquitoes similar way commercial repellants classified synthetic.
